BE COYOTE WISE

  • Coyotes are following their food source
  • Food source are deer – DO NOT feed deer
  • When deer leave area, coyotes will leave
  • Treat coyotes the same as bears
  • Do not leave food outside
  • Do not leave small animals, or small children outside or unattended
  • When walking, make noise, carry a bell, tin can with stones inside, etc.
  • If approached by a coyote, make yourself big, wave your arms, and yell loudly
