Police
Police Service in Headingley is provided by the RCMP Headingley Rural Detachment. The detachment is staffed by nine members. In addition, the Headingley Highway Patrol detachment also operates out our community. The Highway Patrol is a 17 member unit responsible for the highway system in and around the Headingley region.

Fire & First Responders
The Rural Municipality of Headingley is serviced by a 25 member volunteer fire department which includes a first responders unit. The department operates out of the Headingley Fire Hall located at 126 Bridge Road in Headingley. Volunteers undertake aggressive training and certification programs combined with monthly practice sessions to ensure skills are maintained at a high level. The primary fire fighting unit is a 1999 International 1,050 gallon per minute (gpm) pumper and the secondary unit is a 1989 Ford F800 840 gpm pumper. The First Responders vehicle is equipped to handle medical emergencies and includes a defibrillator. Jaws of Life vehicle extrication equipment completes the emergency response capabilities.
The municipality is a member of the Boyne River Mutual Aid Fire District which provides backup and support services on an as required basis.
